  1. I just have to say – -I took a class with you many years ago – – have all of your books and this latest one — 3 skeins or less — is AMAZING!!!! Have never wanted to knit so many patterns in one book — THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! A.W.E.S.O.M.E!!!!! If I could only retire and knit all day …. sigh……

    Thanks again —

I am a fairly new knitter who lives in FL. I “discovered” you via my daughter-in-law who lives in Alexandria. My granddaughters go to pre-school with your child. When my DIL found out you were such an accomplished knitter she shared your information with me. I have saved several patterns in Ravelry. I think I will make the anchors aweigh sweaters for the girls and the East Market tote for my DIL since they will be moving from Alexandria soon. I think having something made from your patterns will be a meaningful keepsake for them. I look forward to following you in the future. Anita

Hi Tanis….. Glad I found you on Knitting Daily. I am a member of Deb Marchetti’s knitting group and just wanted to let you know the joy you sent to her in that special box of yarn. She showed everyone in the knitting group and we all had so much fun admiring it all. She told us all about your mitten gifts and was in awe of your talents. She was a great knitter and a great friend. Nice to finally catch up with you…..Deb Springhetti

I was starting the Eastern Market Tote. I’m confused about rows 2,4,6,8, etc should thy be purl instead of knit.

    • No, they are knit, as the pattern states. It’s knit in the round.
