Learn the art of Mosaic knitting as you work up a quick pair of fingerless mitts!
Class sessions will be recorded and remain accessible online to registered students of the class for 14 days following the event.
Mosaic knitting is the easygoing slip-stitch cousin of stranded colorwork. This fun and easy technique brings color into your work without the bother of stranding, trapping floats, or even holding more than one color at a time.
We’ll knit up the Bow Tie Pasta fingerless mitts as a flat fabric, and then seam them into the mitts.
Tanis will discuss the different types of colorwork, show you how to read charts, talk basic color theory, and demonstrate mattress stitch and finishing techniques.
Special skills or knowledge needed to take this class:
Basic knitting skills only. No previous colorwork experience or chart experience necessary.
