“Linked Arms” for Change
During these challenging and disturbing times, so much needs to be done, but can’t be done alone. We all have got to link arms in support of change, reform, and solidarity. We all have been impacted in some manner by the events that have unfolded. I for one will be forever changed. The Black community is ready for a change. A long reaching Change. A change that will be for the good of all who feel injustice. I have felt so many feelings from sad to mad in these times. One day I will feel glad. That day will only come when there is a tangible change that can be seen by all. I know that I have not been alone. What can one person do? What can two people do? I am not alone in asking for and answer to these questions, so this is what two people can do.
I am linking arms with my friend and sister to bring a collaboration that will help the efforts of change. Tanis Gray of TanisKnits and Shelia Anderson of UrbanGirlYarns presents “Linked Arms.“
100% of the pattern proceeds will go to the NAACP Legal Defense and Education fund. The pattern comes free. The NAACP Legal Defense and Education Organization is the country’s first and foremost civil and human rights law firm. Founded in 1940 under the leadership of Thurgood Marshall, who subsequently became the first African-American U.S. Supreme Court Justice, LDF was launched to fight racial inequality world-wide. The NAACP is on the frontlines fighting for change for all.
The issues of today cry out for change at the at the highest levels. We cry out for justice for the actions of those who misused their position and responsibility. We cry out for change for those who set policy. We cry out for leaders to be fair, responsible, and equal in their administration of their duties.
The LDF crusades against racial discrimination in the United States to serve all impacted by inequality.
